Past, Present Future: Arizona Gymnastics organizational saga/isomorphism/politics Intro: STRUGGLING When establishing success of a athletic program it takes much more than meets the eye and many hours of hard work and dedication, Arizona Gymnastics is in a state of rebuilding who they are and can complete this task through organizational saga from learning how the program was established in the past, leading into current leadership politics of their organization, and finally using mimetic isomorphism for the future of Arizona GymCats. One name of many comes to mind when one thinks of the history and purpose of Arizona Gymnastics, and that name is Mary Roby.
At age 9, I started competitive gymnastics; competing in local and provincial caliber events. Over the course of 8 years I have transitioned from the status of provincial athlete, to regional athlete,
Dear Mr. Leopold: Hello, my name is Anna Wood, and I am a student athlete at Mosinee High School. I have participated in gymnastics for fourteen years, and I have been a varsity athlete on the Mosinee High School Gymnastics team for three years. Previously, I competed competitively at the YMCA. Through my experiences, I distinctly see that the Mosinee Gymnastics Program encounters numerous disadvantages because of how practices are run and the lack of access to a spring floor. The Mosinee Gymnastics Team regularly sets up equipment, specifically the spring floor, in order to promote safety, boost mental health, and fully develop the potential of athletes.

Look around the room ,do you see anyone who looks the same? You shouldn’t, no one is the same. The things about me are different from many other people I like to dance, I love vegetables, and I I also hate liars. The first thing you need know about be is that I’m a dancer. I am really competitive dancer. I have been competing since last year and ever since then I’ve been pushed.
I wanted to makes sure I won and I knew it would have been hard to win competing in a category with so many people. At states, the Sports & Entertainment marketing category had over two hundred people in it and the Principles of Hospitality & Tourism category has eighty-eight people in it. At states I won three medals: NC DECA Certification award for passing the written exam, NC DECA Series Event Finalist Winner, and NC DECA State Finalist. I was six in my category
I have been going to Randolph Gymnastic Academy for almost a year. When I found out that we needed a mentor and we needed to spend up to 8 hours or more with them on our project. I decided that I needed to get started as soon as possible because I wouldn't have improved as much as I wanted in only eight hours. I started a month after we started writing our junior papers. Going there has improved my balance and agility.
GO TEAM GO Were you able to play the sport you trained during school? If not, you are like me, I do gymnastics as my weekly sport and there are many reasons why schools should have a gymnastics team. Some reasons include gymnasts want to be able to join a team,itś fantastic for anybody´s future, and the sport is good for more than just gymnasts. My first reason is that gymnasts want to be able to join a team.
Professional Olympic gymnast, Simone Biles, states; “Put mental health first, because if you don't, then you're not going to enjoy your sport and you're not going to succeed as much as you want to”. “Data from the American College of Sports Medicine indicates that 35% of elite athletes struggle with eating disorders, burnout, depression, or anxiety (Campbell). As a multi-sport athlete, including being a gymnast, I can definitely say that gymnastics comes with needing a lot of mental strength considering the sport can take a toll on a gymnasts mental health. Mental health as an athlete should be a priority, if you aren’t in the right mental state, how could you expect to do well and succeed at your sport? It goes to show that mental health is
In the competition I defeated wrestlers who had wrestled many years. Although, I did not compete in the state competition I am happy to have made it so far in three months.
When I think of leadership, I think of it as a skill that not everyone can develop. For me, it took numerous times of being a follower or a leader, before developing this skill and form the type of leader that I wanted to become. The particular leadership experience that I’m most proud of would have to be leading my high school wrestling team. I started off the season by enthusiastically creating an atmosphere that new members of the team would feel welcomed and strengthened the bonds I had with veteran members.
Mountaineering is a sport in which people put matter of sensibility. There is no gain in climbing a mountain or an award, it’s just for personal pride. The most popular mountain, and the tallest mountain, Everest, can create problems because of how much commercialization Everest gets. Since the commercialization of Everest is so popular; non-experienced climbers are able to be guided up Everest, which can create harm to themselves and to others. People who climb Everest now sadly can substitute money for experience which can also create harm to themselves and to others.
This was my tenth season doing competitive cheerleading. People have always told me that Worlds is the most prestigious competition that I will ever get to experience. You don’t realize how amazing it truly is until you see it for yourself. When I made this Worlds team at such a young age, I felt honored and amazed that I got to represent such an amazing team. The division I was in was a large coed level 5.
This I Am I believe that competitive cheerleading taught me how to believe in myself. I couldn’t count how many times I have told myself that I could not do something. When I was twelve-years old I took up a love for competitive cheerleading. Every time I told myself I couldn’t do something, I wouldn’t even try.
15 years of experience as an aesthetic group gymnast has taught me self-discipline and teamwork skills because a successful group has to demonstrate a sense of cohesion. Furthermore, this has prepared me for managing my time efficiently - to balance the time between studies and other pursuits. Three years ago I had the chance to start working as a rhythmic gymnastics trainer at the gymnastics club Janika. Such an incredible working experience with young children has developed my organisational skills (e.g. arranging meetings with parents and dressmakers) and taught me to take the responsibility for others. What is more, rhythmic gymnastics and dancing in theatre plays have taught me to analyse myself as one has to be fully aware of their body and mind while performing.
