Working at Saltworks is never boring to say the least. We are constantly busy like most other local breakfast and lunch spots in Wilmington. We also have a variety customers, from couples and their screaming babies to eighty year old ladies that order the same meal every day. Undoubtedly my favorite retail place to shop has to be Hollister Co. Apon walking in, you get a blast of a beach town chill vibe. Workers greet you itmeditally with a, “whats up dude?”, or with a node of a head. Their clothing has a surfer, and sand bum look that appeals to younger kids.
In this video Friedman discusses the role that the government plays in trade. He personally supports the free trade form of trade. He discusses free trade using international trade as his example, but it is believed that domestic trade possesses the same principles as international trade. Another key point for Friedman in this video is tariffs. It is believed that if we do not put tariffs on foreign products and the foreign manufacturer is able to produce it for less of a price than the domestic manufacturer; then, only the foreign product is being purchased.
At 8 A.M we wake up and eat breakfast, then at 9:30 we start working. After a couple of hours of working, we would take a break for lunch and relax for a bit. The happily-bland day started of with people rushing around like a colony of ants working in chaotic harmony, each doing their own separate task. Busses were running their routes and taxis the same. Always in motion following a perfect routine. For my Diverse Field Experience this semester, I spent fifteen hours at the Mclean County Juvenile Detention Center. This particular center was occupied by about 8-14 juveniles at a time, all depending on court dates and occupancy of other nearby detention centers. This center usually had 3 staff members working the shift every time I went, which was seven to nine on weekday afternoons. I was intrigued to go to at this time because I thought it would be the time of the day were the juveniles had no school work or other obligations to do while I was there. I wanted to see what they liked to do in the free time before bed, the only stipulation being mandatory snack time at eight pm.
My interest in working for Chipotle stems from my genuine love of their food. Chipotle is unique from any other fast food restaurant in both the quality of their food and the customer services they offer. I always find myself going back and never getting tired of their food especially the chicken burritos. I truly value and admire the restaurant’s effort to serve great food and if given the opportunity I would love to contribute to those
