Personal Narrative: My Life After High School

When a person is a senior everyone asks them what their plans are for after high school and what they hope to become. I am planning on going to college and I have the option of playing volleyball while in college. I didn’t want to go to school too far away from home, and I got a few offers that were close to home, but I narrowed it down to Heidelberg and Owens to play at. They both offered scholarships and they both have the what I would like to major in so it was a tough decision. I finally decided Owens would be a better fit over Heidelberg. I could play for 2 years and then transfer to another school and live a normal college life. Tiffin is a small town with not much to do and there isn’t much around it except Tiffin University right across the street. The tuition is about 28,000 dollars a year including everything. With Heidelberg recruiting me for volleyball, the tuition per year would go down to about 14,000 a year. They have residence halls for the students that live on campus, their dorms with 2 beds, 2 desks, and 2 closets (“Residence Halls”). They’re pretty small, and the bathrooms are on the floor you live on that you share with your whole floor. One hall, though is just for juniors and seniors, and they are arranged like an apartment where you have your own bathroom and bedroom (“Residence Halls”). Heidelberg has a multiple of choices for undergraduate programs such as: humanities, social science, school of business, school of education, natural science, health science, school of music and theatre, and other (“Undergraduate Programs”). They also have graduate and honors programs (“Academic Life”). They have the programs and after graduate programs for me in becoming a physician's assistant (“Undergraduate Programs”). During my college visit when I went there I got to meet some of the volleyball players and the coaches.
