Personal Narrative: My Life As A Dermatologist

It was back in September of 2013 when I had been talking to my mom about my acne and and nothing was helping it. So my mom had said we could go see a dermatologist and see what they have to say. So we went to the dermatologists had they had prescribed me some creams and some oral medicine to try for about a month. I had went back in about November and neither thing had really helped me. So she had prescribed me some new creams and a different stronger medicine. So I was taking that for a long time about four months. In March I had a regular eye check up for my glasses. So we get and we go back and I go back to the room to see the doctor and she checks my vision and prescription hasn 't changed, and then she uses a machine with a light on it …show more content…

My heart was racing. I was nervous that they were going to find something like a tumor that was causing all of it. So when we walked into the MRI room they made me take a pregnancy test. As they called me back, I walked back very nervously right foot then left foot. My heart racing and trying to listen and take in what everyone else was saying. I nervously grabbed the doorknob with my shaking right hand. I slowly turned the knob, and I slowly walked in the door and turned and sat in the chair in the middle of the tiny room. That is when one of the nurses had came and asked a few questions and had told me that I was going to me in the mobile MRI because they were working on the other one. When we walked out to it and walked in it was super tiny and squished with all the equipment and they luckily let my parents go in with me. When we first got in there I was crying and freaking out. Then once I started to calm down they had me lay down and the put these wash cloths over my face and then they slid this little helmet over my head and put these supporting pads by head. Then they slid me and did the first set of pictures it was about 45 minutes and for about the last 10 minutes of the first set of pictures I had to pee really really bad and they had told me that if I had moved and got the lineup off that I was going to have to start over. I had to carefully lift my bottom up and they gave me pan to pee in, and man did I pee a lake! After I got done going to the bathroom they had to put contrast in. So after they did that they sent me back and finished the second set of pictures which had lasted about 30 minutes. After all the pictures were done they said I was finished and could go home and that they were going to send the pictures to the neurologists and she would call with the
