When I was living Guatemala I was living a alone with my son Franklyn Alexis Santiago Tercero-Jacinto. His father did not want to have anything to do with us and left us about four years ago. I was living alone and I did fear that something could happen for the reason that is very unsafe and crime is well known to happen. On June 26,2016 was a date that marked my life I was rapped by a man named Miguel Angel Lopez. He was a man that would go to the restaurant where I worked to eat. I have no idea how he was able to obtain my address. That night he came in drunk to my home. He came in using force to get in. I did not know what to do in that moment because I was with my son and I wanted to protect him. When he left he threaten me that if I said anything to anyone about what had happened or put a complaint to the police He would kill me and my son. …show more content…

On August 1,2016 I was in the kitchen with my son getting ready to go to sleep. I put a hot waiter to boil on the stove and put the pot on the kitchen table. I later saw Miguel come in and I had great fear because every-time he would come to the house it was only to harm me. He came to the kitchen and he grabbed me with force and my son was right beside me. I would push him away, but he would still come toward me. At this point he got mad and took the pot of hot water and threw it on my son. The next day August 2, 2016 I took my son to the hospital because he was burned by the hot water. He was left with a scar starting from his right shoulder all the way to his right waist. I would get scared when night time would come because that is when Miguel would come to the house and harm me.
