Everyone has different points of views on different subjects. This could range from a simple object to a complex idea; whatever the concept might be, everything will be viewed differently depending on the person viewing it. When it comes to sports, millions of people generate different views of a given sport. A good example is when the Golden State Warriors went head to head against the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2015 NBA Finals. The following are two different views of the same basketball game.
I still dedicated myself to the game as a teenager, striving to get better every day, not because I wanted to win, but because I cared about the game, I owed it to myself to play to the best of my ability. Even as the sport moved on, I got enjoyment out of it and continued to play, even without a league to play
I am playing a sport at the collegiate level. Baseball has been a part of my life for fifteen straight years. Some people might ask,” is it even fun anymore?” My answer is no. Baseball is all I have ever known.
Throughout my years of participating in high school basketball, I have overcome many challenges. My freshmen year, basketball started in a way I never expected. Continuing on, I understood the real meaning of hard work, and what it takes. Lessons I learned in basketball will carry on throughout my life, helping me to become a successful adult.
Since picking up “The Rock” seven years ago, I’ve come to love basketball, and it’s given me experiences, skills and values emanating beyond the game itself. Whenever I’m feeling stressed, shooting a few hoops with my little sister at the park is a surefire way to relax and have fun. From weight training to running liners, basketball has helped me develop discipline and an appreciation for teamwork. Furthermore, basketball has been my medium to travel across the globe and even take a photo with UMich star Jamal Crawford. From Memorial Day weekend tournaments in downtown San Francisco to spontaneous pick-up games with local high school athletes in Okayama, Japan, time and time again, basketball has transcended language and culture, allowing
Foster care and abandonment The baggage that remains By Shaylah O’Hara Guest writer I had always felt that my mother did not want me. While she had several opportunities to get me back by simply providing a few clean drug tests, she was unable to do so. I tell myself that I ended up in the foster care system due to her addiction and that she did not intentionally choose drugs over me; while I do believe that, it still hurts.
Most people my age have a passion for playing sports, but my passion in life is a little different than most. I grew up living on a farm and being around cattle ever since I could walk has been apart of my life, which brought me to one of the reasons why I have a passion for showing cattle. People often wonder why I love showing cattle so much and what the point of it is, but there are so many reasons why I have grown the love for it. There is just something special about the feeling of your heart racing when you walk into the show ring or the handshake from the judge telling you that all your hard work has payed off. The life lessons, the memories, the friends, and the love my family
It was a sport that came naturally to me, and I enjoyed the challenge of constantly improving my skills. I had a great relationship with my baseball coach and felt like I was part of a tight-knit team. Additionally, I had several opportunities to play at the college level if I dedicated myself to the sport. On the other hand, I also loved playing basketball. It was a fast-paced, high-energy sport that pushed me to my limits.

The Protestant Reformation, lasting from 1517 to 1648, was a time of social and political change that split the Catholic Church in Europe, establishing the structures and beliefs that would eventually shape the Protestant religion. People’s ideas seemed to become more important in society as new religious breakthroughs began to emerge during this time. Throughout this period in world history, church leaders began to find ways to take more money from their followers, many Europeans gained a voice in governing the Catholic Church, and religious wars began to break out due to rebellion in the church between Catholics and Protestants. While the Catholic Church continued to grow in Europe, leaders of the church discovered ways that they could make
I've learned that you should never give up, and always try your best. My story started this year. I had just tried out for a competitive basketball league and I was very anxious because I didn't know what to expect at tryouts and what to expect if I made the team. I was scared I was going to mess or do something incorrect. I'd been playing basketball since the 2nd grade, so I was an experienced player.
It was game day today. My teammates and I had a game against our rivalry high school Alta and we were pumped because we have beaten them every year since 2014. This year felt like we would keep that streak up and in motion. They had 6 really tall players while we only had 2. It made us all nervous for a while until we seemed to get over it.
Air ball— again. My form was lost, coordination gone, and so was my patience. I’ve stopped playing basketball for 3 months mainly because of school work and things going on in my life. I was determined to get my skills back no matter how long it’ll take. I started a game of basketball with other people inside the gyms court.
Though in end basketball will always be in me and no matter the situation basketball will always have a place in my
