A common thing I like to do while vacationing is to go browsing in souvenir shops for accessories to take home as a memory. As merchandise is filled throughout the store, the keychains, magnets and coffee mugs always seem to grab my attention. It is has always been a challenge to find one of these personalized items with my first name… Kendall. It always seems to be Kendal with one L, and that is not me. This has become a big game throughout my family and friends to see who can find “Kendall” on any type of merchandise. Throughout my name search on random objects I have realized that not finding my name, Kendall, in any store reiterates me being a unique individual. According to babynames.com the name Kendall comes from the English origin and was derived from a place name and surname 'Cumbrian ', which means 'Valley of the River Kent '. I personally love how I am described in this sentence because it completely correlates to the person I have grown to be. The creative mind that I have developed comes with plenty of new ideas and innovations as my eyes catch improvements that can be made each and every day. This includes something as simple as moving a piece of furniture to where I think it would look more satisfying. As said before, going with the flow is what I like to do and I think that being a versatile person fits right into that, which means being adaptable to many situations. Being independent comes with growing up and learning to be self reliant, as I continue to learn throughout my journey in High School. Having independence is a great assurance for me because I am in control of my life, no one else is making my big decisions, this life is mine and I control the destiny of it.
