“So often, in our quest to be more popular and t be part of the “in-group,” we lose sight of the things that are far more important…” This means that we focus more on trying to be apart of the “cool kids,” that we block out the things that are more important in life. The quote is succinct to me because right now, in middle school, I want to be a part of a highly honored group than I do my work.
