Over the summer I traveled to Tennessee to see my cousins. The day we arrived, we visited Lake Winnie, an amusement park with tons of rides with a water park. It was a joyful day. That day I went on the first roller coaster I 've ever been on. While walking nervously up the steps to get into line with my cousin, I felt the adrenaline rushing through my body, and I felt very anxious.
The move back to Maryland was one of the biggest challenges in my life, everything was okay in Ohio until my step dad caused problems with me and my mom. It all started when my mom tried kicking my step dad out of the house for domestic violence. She kicked him out because not only has he fought with my mom, but he and I have fought a few times. Everything seemed fine at first until he kept bringing police officers to our house claiming almost all of our household items were his and he wanted to get them back. Of course the officers eventually weren’t allowing him to keep coming back to bug us about it and told him to go to the court and take the problem to a civil court judge.
An event that has influenced me greatly has definitely been the mission trips I partake in every summer. I've went on one each summer starting in 2015, in which i hope to continue this for many more years. Throughout the many trips I've taken, I have learned that everyone deserves the same amount of help and respect. You never know just how far the little acts you do can go for others. My first trip was to Virginia Beach, I first thought that it would be all fun and games.
I 'm a laid back guy, who enjoys spending time with my friends, trying new things, and meeting new people. I love living in the city since there 's always something to do. I 'm an engineer and enjoy my job and its challenges; but, I spend all day in an office and by the end of the day I 'd rather go out and have some fun than go straight home and call it a night. I 'm from a military family, so I grew up overseas and lived in the mid-west after college; but I 've always call Maryland home. I love adventures, city life, the Ravens, concerts & festivals, and just hanging out with friends - since it’s more about the company than the event, I’m typically up for anything.
I grew up in inner city Baltimore Maryland. Neither of my parents were or are followers of Christ. They divorced when I was very young. I spent most of my life moving from place to place with my mother and two brothers. I gave up on high school when I failed my freshmen year.
O is for ocean. I went to the ocean twice in my whole life. I went to Florida and Texas. I went to Florida when I was a baby. Then I went to Texas two years ago when I was eleven.
The summer of 2016 my family and I took a road trip to Colorado. Colorado reminded me a lot of Minnesota but on a big Mountain. There are river valleys that are 1,250 feet deep to mountains that are 14,114 feet high. I climbed a mountain in Glenwood Canyon.
My bags were completely packed for our upcoming trip to Charleston, South Carolina. I had been waiting for this seemingly perfect trip for the whole summer. When we arrived at our cabin, it was less than what we expected; much less. The private cottage was extremely outdated. When we first walked in, you could hear my mother shriek after she spotted a cockroach near the fireplace.
Fifteen years ago in 2001, at the age of one, my parents brought me to Ocean City for the first time. During the summertime, Ocean City is quite the getaway spot with over 320,000 vacationers every year. As a small child of one-year-old, going to Ocean City was a huge step for me. I was overwhelmed from the monstrous amount of people all over the miles and miles of white sand beach. That first time of me going to Ocean City was where I took my first steps, made my first friends, and rode my first ride at a theme-park.
I’ve lived in Montgomery, Alabama for as long as I can remember. I’ve never lived anywhere else, but I 'm glad that I have gotten to see more than just Montgomery. I feel like Montgomery is a very historic city because Rosa parks and Martin Luther King Jr. lived here. I always thought that this was a very cool place to live and learn about my surroundings. When I was little I lived in apartments called Highland Village, where I met my best friends.
I'm exploring various areas for retirement, which presently includes Raleigh/Durham, and possibly Asheville, for visits up to six months of the year. Hopefully, I will be lucky to meet acquaintances who are similar in age who are willing to connect without the need for a rushed relationship. I would like to settle down but I am realistic and will admit that I am careful. I am hopeful for a mature commitment in the future. An important aspect is flexibility as my lifestyle involves travel, which is unavoidable.
The beach breeze dropped the temperature and a cool breeze drafted through the beach. Sand is like a soft blanket covering up your feet promising to keep you safe. A wave went up and smacked me in the head. I absolutely hate salt water, it hurts your eyes and makes it hard to see. My brothers were struggling a little bit to go into the water.
My Trip to Florida It was a cold winter night in Upstate New York. My mom and dad were enjoying a cup of coffee, my sisters were playing video games, and I was editing a few pictures on my computer. My mom brought up the idea of a vacation. She said” We haven’t been on a vacation for a long time”.
When we first landed at the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), we relaxed most of the day at our hotel and went to the beach that night. The next day was my birthday, so my parents let me plan the day for the most part. We hung out on the beach and went to California Pizza Kitchen. The hotel we stayed at had a private beach, so we were treated very well there. There were five chairs set up for us right in front of the deep blue Pacific Ocean.
It was a bright day during the month of June in the Sunshine State, Florida. My girlfriend Alex, her best friend Olivia, and her cousin David wanted to go to a waterpark. I grew up in San Francisco, a place much colder than Florida. As such, I never got the chance to go to one, so when the opportunity presented itself I jumped on in. I was on a trip to visit my girlfriend that I was in a long distance relationship with at the time.
