Tanner Ray Grandstaff, three words that when combined create a person, an identity. A tanner works with hides and turns it into leather by some process that is completely foreign to me. I have no experience with working with leather other than occasionally cleaning the leather in my car. I am actually the least likely person to be working with hides or anything that has to do with dead animals due to the fact that I have never been hunting. I feel as if I am a black sheep having grown up in Arkansas and Oklahoma the and every time one of my friends asks me about hunting, I just try to change the subject as soon as possible, otherwise I might be ridiculed and labeled as a city boy.
Starting his journey to greatness early, young Felipe Martinez began playing teeball the age of 7. “I did it on my own, I wanted to try something new so I tried teeball,” Martinez explained while sitting at a small desk in the corner of the classroom in his dapper bow tie and button up shirt, ready for his football game later that night. Martinez has been playing sports ever since he was seven. Currently he is part of the Marshall Redhawks football team, where he plays: corner, linebacker, and receiver.

My teammates and I finally reached the Atlanta stadium, the head coach told us all the formations, plays, strategies, and who will be starting. When I heard "Eric Marshall will be one of the primary and starting receivers," I almost jumped in joy, because it had been a dream to play in the super bowl. As we walked into the stadium to practice, I could hear fans screaming, many of which were cheering for us. I felt as if we could not lose or we would let many, many people down. While Marcus and I were doing some practice plays, I felt great When our rivals, the Patriots came in, they looked as if they have been training for this moment for their lives.
I went to Jay Peak as my second time. I remember about my first time I went there when I was in Middle school. Also it was my first year in United State. I was a quiet student in Middle school so I don’t talk the whole time I was on the bus even when I get there. But yesterday I talked to people who were from different program.
Counting down the list from number 20 to eventual number 1, my heart raced as they called out the names. It was 8th grade and the rankings were out. This may seem like a rather pretentious achievement but when they called out the name “Andrea Campos” as the valedictorian of Copiague middle school. My heart skipped a beat and tears streamed down my face. Hearing my parents brag about me to their friends made me feel like my accomplishment was their achievement as well.
Meet my Jazz band. This is a picture of us in New Orleans my junior year during spring break to play Jazz. I decided upon this picture because this band has had such a profound impact on how I frame my future. My connection with music through the piano has been fostered ever since I could reach those shiny black and white collection of keys. Starting at the age of four, playing the classical music of Mozart and Bach was what my musical background was founded upon, with tangible medals and accomplishments as achievements.

My initial meeting that was scheduled for February 14th, I had to cancel due to being very sick and not wanting to spread it to him or his family. Are there any open slots? God bless, Rachal Adent
My Michigan Hero I want you to think of someone special, to think of a hero. When I think of a hero I think of my dad. I remember when I was younger, and I didn’t like to read. My dad taught me just how amazing reading is.
There are some people that I can’t imagine living life without. I can’t live life without my friends from school, my blood family, or my dogs. Though I cannot live without any of the entities I just listed, there is someone that I know, this person is special. This person has left a big impact on my life, and his name is Jody. I remember when me, my mom, my sister, and Jody would go to Culvers every week that I was with my mom.
My Michigan Hero Everyone likes superheroes, right? They all wear awesome costumes and have special powers, but not all superheroes are that obvious. David Newman is in eighth grade and is a living, real superhero. To people who don’t know his story, they see him as a normal boy.
It was nice to meet you as well at Eagle Pride Night. I did check for you on that assignment, and I did put a zero because I give students that are absent the full five days to make up a quiz. However, the quiz needs to be made up after school. I did let students know this, every day and unfortunately he had until this past Monday to come after school to make up the quiz. Since the time has passed he no longer can make up the quiz.
In light of my qualifications for the Masters Program in Genetic Counseling situated at the Virginia Commonwealth University, it is significant to understand the origins of my interest in the field and the program. Genetics as a whole have proven to be a profound influence on my life until this point, as it has for many others, but the influence has contrasted from others in its inquisitive molding of my mindset and desire to understand how genetics have affected human development. The questions of why people behave, look, feel, or develop in a certain way as opposed to another has consistently proven to be a recurring fascination in my life and through studying genetics the opportunity for finding the answers to such questions was revealed in its entirety. The reason for physical suffering from birth or the physical abilities of an individual surpassing that of the group was shown through their genetic makeup inherited from past genealogical variety and unfathomable possibility, which sparked my interest in the field of genetic research and genetic counseling.
