Strengths Essay My top five strengths are Leadership, strategic thinking, communication, decision making, and adopting. Throughout my life, each of these areas have played an important role in executing my life. Focused on personal growth, I always seek to better myself, develop new skills and strengthen my acquired skills. I am driven by three desires of mine; wishing I was better, acquiring more skills, and cultivating more wisdom which all drive me every day to gain more. There are three basic influences that have guided me towards a career in information technology: Role Models, Genuine interests and Experiences. The role models that I have admired, followed and learned about are form the IT field in one manner of another. Genuine interest are activities that have engaged in my free time, from books that I have read, events I have attended and skills I have acquired. Work experiences I have been involved with include two startup organizations I have commenced. I learned my first line of Code when I was 17 with HTML, CSS and JavaScript which was all self-taught through online resources I have since adding to my skill base, most recently learning a new development language called bubble which speeds the process of development near a factor of three if you know what you are doing. Additionally, the most recent books I have read outside of coursework have been The Blockchain Revolution, The Business of Blockchain, and How to Build a Billion Dollar App. These are just the most recent books I have read within the past two months, there are numerous other books that have contributed to my education which include tech Sci-Fi Anathem, a practical guide to computer with Code and a psychology book relating to new technologies How the Brain Works. On top of the books and the skills I have learned, I am especially prepared for a career in IT management from the events that I attend. Social gatherings include Hackathons, UX/UI meetups and Startup Networking events. My obvious affection for technology validates a career in information technology management but also shows through my work
