It was on a breezy Friday morning in fifth grade, when I was skipping to Blackberry Creek Elementary School, in a fright about my reading and today our enormous homework assignment was being finished. I didn't feel very confident about it. I've met up with my friends along the way and they were in an excellent mood. As I was walking with a full backpack, my friends questioned me why I was so down. I didn't answer them when they questioned me. They knew something was up, so they tried making me laugh with silly faces and other weird ways. I told them it was nothing, it was just my reading fluency. I was struggling with the subject. They explained I had nothing to complain about, and they promised me they would help me. I sat down for our reading lesson, very unconfident. Our teacher, Mrs. Reilly, started the lesson by reading a chapter from our book. "This book is too hard!" I blurted out. "Sam, I've lowered you to something easier to read." Mrs. Reilly whispered. Suddenly, my other teacher Mrs. Everest's came over towards me and asked me a question. My assistant teacher, Mrs. Everest's, walked towards me and said, "during this time Sam, you are going to a class called RTI. It is where a teacher helps you grow in many subjects." "K," I replied. So I started getting help from teachers in my reading, from RTI. This class was a great idea from my teacher. I thanked her when my friends and I got back from RTI. "You're gladly welcome," she
