“Get off me!” I hissed angrily at my brother Andrew, who had just jumped on top of me at four thirty in the morning. “What are you doing?” I barked at him.
“You have to get up and get ready, we are going to-,” I cut him off midsentence and screeched, “We are going to Virginia Beach! How could I have forgotten?”
The night before I had checked and double checked my list, but it still felt as if I was missing something. I shrugged the thought off and got ready. As I hopped down the steps to the kitchen for eggs and bacon, I passed my brother’s room and called in jokingly, “Drew, don’t forget your bathing suit.”
After breakfast, I was all ready to leave, but of course it took the rest of my family another two hours to get ready. I was going to miss home but I was too excited about going to the beach I only thought about that for a split second.
As soon as we got everything packed up, the car tires were screeching out of the driveway. I started the car trip by listening to music. When I got bored with that, I watched a movie. The trip was going to last eight or more hours according to our GPS! I didn’t know if I could find something to do for that long. I was so excited to get the day started I hadn’t realized that the last time I ate was when we had stopped at Wendy’s yesterday afternoon. My stomach let its hunger known by letting out a low rumble. So, I headed down to the hotel’s breakfast bar with my brother. Everything was outstanding considering it was a hotel breakfast. There was literally every breakfast food you could imagine. I decided on the delicious French toast and the mouthwatering bacon. Once my brother and I finished we raced back to the room and got
