In completing the assessment I was able to identify areas for improvement. Previous to taking this test, I had an idea of what it would likely say I need to improve on, vulnerability. The assessment showed me that I have opportunities to develop my vulnerability. I struggle with being vulnerable personally and also dealing with those who are vulnerable around me. This is something that I want to focus on, to become the transformational leader I strive to be.
SCI411 Academic and personal development Portfolio: Part 1 From not being in education for a few years, being able to recognise my own academic skills, strengths and weaknesses was quite difficult. However, over these first couple of weeks in lectures my learning strengths and weaknesses have made themselves apparent. Whilst filling out the questionnaire Skills Self-Assessment Audit (Theeducators, 2013) it took a lot of understanding of the questions to be able to answer honestly, and my lowest scores reflected this in the personal effectiveness category. New technology destroyed the world. The creation of new technology helped Germany get an edge on the allies. As Well technology helped the allies but at a huge cost. Technology destroyed the world, but also helped shape the new world with new inventions and advancements in technology. Throughout history, technology has played a huge role in wars, especially WW2.
Who Am I? Throughout my course IDS 240 Foundations of Lifelong Learning, I have gained a variety of new insights that will forever change my values and compassion of who I am in this world. It was through various theories, including Strengths, spiritual gifts, and different personality inventories that provided me with great clarity in the search for my vocational calling. Although at times I felt a sense of confusion when learning the 3 Facets and reading the first two chapters of the Palmer Parker textbook, there is no doubt in my mind that I will be able to overcome these issues and successfully continue my journey. Self-awareness is a key component to answering such questions as to “who you are as a person?”
In the different assessments, I noticed that whether the assessment was regarding my strength, personality, or interest each assessment connected with each other, to bring me together into a person who applies her positive approach and uses her intuition in her career. Each assessment helped me take a different approach into my career exploration. They taught me how to apply myself and to know that each person has a different talent that can fit into any career. Taking the assessments opened my eyes to new ideas I would have never thought of trying. I can now finally take a comfortable step into finding my career after taking the self
To begin with, the self-assessment for enhancing my budgetary wellbeing helped me because it offered assistance with an understanding in the regions that I need to start spending less money on. As a college student, I find it critical to make a sensible spending plan because spending too much on things that are "wants "and not “needs” can affect your life adversely. The second self-evaluation (Staying Psychologically Healthy) was exceptionally precise in regards to the scoring. When I was analyzing my coping skill I discovered that I scored fairly low (9) because a perfect score was (15). Yet, I can relate this scoring with a past experience.
The “Who Are You” assessment is designed to give a person a better idea of their strengths and weaknesses so they can further develop themselves in the areas that they choose to. I have taken many self-assessments throughout my professional career and the information presented in this assessment was not alarming and nothing new to me. I know what my strengths are and I tend to build upon them, rather than working on a weakness that may never be a strength. I cannot say that I actually learned anything new.
To know that I am a fair person is great because I now know that in a given situation I will be fair with my decisions. I could go and explain why each of them are important to have, but like I said the ranking and outcome of the survey was unexpected. The next survey Emotional Intelligence Self-Assessment was a very interesting one. I did not know what emotional intelligence was until this course.
However, I have learned a lot about myself. It is important for me to recollect what I have learned and be confident going into the interviews. My goal is to recollect my strengths, my weaknesses and areas of improvements as it will allow me to prepare myself for the placement interviews and give me the confidence to stand out and demonstrate my professional experience. For the placement, the students have to initiate contact with the field instructors to set up appointments for interviews.

At this time of year, I begin to look back at my life after 12 hard years of schooling. Throughout the course of my life, there have been many ups and downs, but these up and downs is what made me who I am today. These influences have shaped my values, attitudes and beliefs towards life. There have been many important people and events that has impacted my life. One of which is family and the media.
Taking a self-assessment is never easy and is only beneficial when you are honest with yourself about where you are in certain areas of your life. In taking the self-assessment I had to take an in-depth look at myself in each of the areas identified, and that was not easy. I did learn, however, that I was stronger in some areas after thinking about it and taking a hard-look at each area. Also, it surprised me that I have changed and grown in certain areas and gained definite strength.
A sense of accomplishment is invaluable to a person. Not only does a sense of accomplishment build confidence and faith in oneself, but it also allows one to reflect on how wonderful the journey to the accomplishment was, and how every little struggle and triumph was worth it. In the middle of summer, where time seems endless and the stress of the previous school year has been shed by students, I never expected to find out that I scored a five on both of the advanced placement exams I took. Nor did I have one-hundred percent confidence the goals we set as section leaders of the marching band would actually be met. Yet to my surprise, I had the good fortune of accomplishing challenging things in both aspects of my life.
In my foteen years of life i have missed many oppurtinies. I have missed many new experiences. I may regret some and might not even remember most. Some oppurtunities could have helped me advance mentally, physcsly or helped me in other ways, but i did not take them. Regretting events is not good for anyone or anything, because then you over think and feel even more angry at yourself and you wish you could go back and change your decision.
