Personal Narrative: My Year At Cary-Grove High School

I am 17 years old and a senior this year at Cary-Grove High School. I live in Cary and have lived here all my life. School is a very important aspect of my life and I continue to challenge myself every day in order to give myself a chance at receiving a quality education. Some of my favorite hobbies include listening to music on Spotify and watching some of my favorite movies. When I am not listening to music of watching movies, I am most likely at some extracurricular activity. One of my biggest interest is music, so I am heavily involved with the Cary-Grove Trojan Marching Band. Along with being in the marching band, I am also in the Wind Symphony at Cary-Grove. This book has been one of my favorites for many years because I enjoy the ideas that are represented in it. This book talks about difficult life-changing choices, the daily life living in a utopia, and romance, which are my favorite things to read about. This is only the first book in my favorite trilogy, the Matched trilogy, but I enjoy it the most out of the three.
I have many favorite children’s books that I loved and still love. One of my absolute favorites is the My Weird School series by Dan Gutman. In each of the books, they talk about one of the crazy, weird teachers that work at their school. Another one of my favorites is the Magic Treehouse series by Mary Pope Osborne. In this series, they travel to different places in the world with their treehouse and learn about it. I spent hours reading them, and I still enjoy them to this day.
I have many books in my house, all of which are in my living room. If you were to look, you wouldn’t see many books, but you would see some that everyone would recognize. In my living room, you could find over half of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series by Jeff Kinney. I love this series and I read and reread them whenever I have nothing else to do. Also, you would find my favorite book of all time, Matched by Ally Condie, which is a part of her Matched
