On 06-05-2016 at 1143 hours I was dispatched to 2525 Barron Road in reference to a subject in the road yelling. Upon my arrival in the area I located Danny Wilson in the back yard of 2525 Barron Road spraying himself with a water hose. Wilson was acting irate and appeared to be under the influence of narcotics. Wilson was asked multiple times what kind of drugs he had used and he advised marijuana and methamphetamine. Wilson was complaining it was extremely hot and was spraying himself with water and was advising people where chading him.

Pikes Peak America’s Mountain is on elevation of 14,115 feet. It has 19 miles highway around the mountain and between the clouds to reach to the Peak. With an altitude of 14,115 feet above sea level, it ranks 31st in elevation among Colorado’s 54 “Fourteeners”. Pikes Peak offers amazing hiking experience with breathtaking views. When we visited Pikes Peak it was snowing and I and my husband were 1st visitor to reach at the entrance.
The sports teams are not a big of a focus as they would be at a high school. They have started a food culture day where students bring in food that is from their own background to share with their classmates. The students enjoy eating different foods there families make. The heroes of this school are the parents who commit the most time to helping the school. The parents of the students will get together for fundraisers to help raise money.
After our tour everything went well. I really liked the classrooms. We couldn’t wait until we were in 6th grade. We were so surprised that the school wasn’t that big like we expected it to be.
When I started high school, the club that excited me the most, was National Honors Society. So, at the first chance I got, in my sophomore year. After being a member for a year, I quickly realized that I wanted to take on a leadership opportunity in the club. So, I took a shot for the stars, and campaigned for being president of Honors Society. Though I had some competition, I put my all into composing a speech, and I won the presidency, and I have been president since.
Hi Journey Group! If you know me at all, you absolutely know that I crave new experiences and love to share them. This year, I have begun new adventures… from beginning a new job, to becoming the first African-American female Publisher in Charlotte, to fulfilling a life-long dream of writing and publishing a book. We all have connected at different points in my life, and by far, this is the most exciting time for me that I’ve had in a very long time.
Lani: I was helping for someone’s project for COMM 245; I was in the video lab, in the studio. I was on campus and decided to contact everyone I knew who comes to the school. I remember I sent out a snap saying guys I think there is a shooting, be careful and then I started sending out individual texts to people making sure they were okay, like hey are you good? Stay out of an area.
I would first like to start off by thanking you for your time to listen to my plea. I’m saddened that it has come to this. However, I’m grateful that I have a chance to voice my opinion. I would then mention why I left the area, which is why I was incarcerated in the first place. I would explain my son’s situation and how I was doing what was best for my family.
My life’s journey as a thirteen year old is very similar to Joseph Campbell’s Hero’s Journey. I have had to had to overcome some challenges that have been both mentally and physically. I went through depression and the problem of keeping myself from doing anything harmful to myself and others and finally getting help and seeing therapists. I have had to go through tests, which challenged me, and have gotten passed them with the help of many mentors. Then I had to decide to get better without falling back into the same hole again.
Today, we are here with one purpose. We are here because sixth graders are graduating onto a new stage of their life. Everyone once started as a baby, newly born. Like newly planted saplings in an orchard, they are tended and cared by their caretakers which could be our parents and teachers. Parents and teachers help us step by step and stay by our side when we need them.
They have this great place to buy these tasty burgers with a lot of toppings. They also have a great Irish restaurant to get scrumptious Irish food. At the Irish restaurant, they have Irish dancers that dance on stage while you eat. There is also a place called Be our Guest Restaurant where you can order French cuisine. Also you get to meet Belle and the Beast and they will sign your autograph book too.
A sense of accomplishment is invaluable to a person. Not only does a sense of accomplishment build confidence and faith in oneself, but it also allows one to reflect on how wonderful the journey to the accomplishment was, and how every little struggle and triumph was worth it. In the middle of summer, where time seems endless and the stress of the previous school year has been shed by students, I never expected to find out that I scored a five on both of the advanced placement exams I took. Nor did I have one-hundred percent confidence the goals we set as section leaders of the marching band would actually be met. Yet to my surprise, I had the good fortune of accomplishing challenging things in both aspects of my life.
