Soon after I crawled out of my hole of self-pity, I thought to myself, “First thing’s first, I need to get a job so I can support us.” And that’s exactly what I did. I now work at Speedway, and even though it’s not exactly my dream job, thinking about Izzy makes every mess I clean up, dish I wash, and every insane ranting customer worth it. I wake up every morning, and put on my uniform with pride, and gratitude that I have a way to provide for her. Having Izzy has forced me to learn pivotal values in life, such as responsibility, self-worth, selflessness, hard work, and keeping a positive attitude.

I have had tough hope once, I had to move to a different state and start to get used to the new place. Moving was hard and took a long time to move everything to our new house. My new house was hard to get used to because it was different and I wasn 't used to it which made it hard to sleep and I had to leave my friends behind and I would have to find new friends. Making new friends was hard because I would be alone until I found new friends and I would have no one to talk to so I would be very quiet. Usually I would always be talking to a friend and I am only social with friends.

Investigating My goal for my Personal Project was to help elementary aged students during the summer so that they won't lose as much of their knowledge and won't fall as far behind in their education. I chose this goal because, as a child, I fell behind during the summers. I was greatly affected by the lack of learning I was exposed to as a child. As a result, I was pulled out of school and my mother continued my education from home for a couple of years.
Since you said to write about a topic I could relate to the most, I am going to write about how my siblings and I struggle with undocumented parents to this day. Immigration is probably the most overlooked and ignored issue in the past years. Bernie Sanders in a speech onced said “We cannot and should not sweep up millions of men, women, and children – many of whom lived here for many years, contribute to our society, and are integrated into the fabric of American life – and throw them out of the country unjustly”. “Equality for all” is probably the most famous quote in American history yet equality is not distributed equally. I truly believe that everybody deserves to have a share in the “American Dream”.
I had moved from my father’s house at an early age to begin my own family with big ambitions and even bigger dreams. At the time, I had every intention of slaying dragons and returning as the conquering hero with ticker tape parade and cheering fans. What I did not know at that time was how much of an everyday adversary the world could be and how many temptations and poor choices would be available on almost a daily basis. Only I know what I enjoy to read and will not put me to sleep. When we got to pick what I wanted to read about and write the paper on. I could really get focused into the book and paper because it interested me. Now only a couple of papers interest me and keep me attuned to the book. The ECA had me read a boring story then write a paper about it, and that was a struggle for me because the story was beginning to bore me to death.
I was lying on the ground inside a dimly lit cell soaking in my blood and I was terrified, feeling the last bit of my strength slowly leaving me. I tried to fight back the fear and helplessness that I felt knowing that I was a going to die, but it was something that could not be accomplished in moments like these. I was starting to feel the numbness replacing the pain of my mutilated body. “Say… Do you want to live forever?” A distant and foreign voice sounded in my head.
