Shoot a banded duck I love to shoot a banded duck which is a duck with a band on its foot that the DNR has placed on the duck. The band has a special code on it, if you send the code number into the DNR and they will call you. They will then share with you where the bird has migrated from. I went out with my good buddy Karl where we went out to a great spot on the lake that an older man named Carl owns the land and his home is nearby. . We took a two peker boat, which is a boat with two seats one in the front and one in the back that you can push and pull with a stick. There is a flat piece on the bottom of the stick to push off the bottom of the lake so you can propel the boat forward. We later got into our blind and sat for probably twenty minutes waiting for the sun to rise. When we suddenly look over and there it was one; of the best sunsets I had ever seen it! It had some of the most bright rays with the most beautiful colors in it. I will probably never forget the way the sun hit the decoys and reflected off the water. The way the sun hit us in the boat it just seemed to warm you up just that little bit to take the chill off of you especially took the bite off my cold fingers. It really doesn't get much better than sitting enjoying the sun in the early morning hours inside a duck
