Personal Narrative: Snow Skiing

I have always been an explorer. Luckily, nothing has ever stopped me from exploring the world. Starting with summer camps in Asia and the United States to living by myself in Europe. Switzerland served me as an entrance to the world. When I was not in college, I was investigating my surroundings, opened to new opportunities and new adventures.

I went to Switzerland after graduating high school. Back then I barely knew myself and what I was capable of. I did not know how to be responsible for myself and my acts nor the consequences it would bring. I discovered that I enjoy motivating and helping people. The cultural and academic atmosphere here at Webster is too thin for me. There are not many international students, which has impacted my experience. I like meeting people with different backgrounds and beliefs and to learn from them, but I also want to be around people that remind me of home. At Webster University, only four percent of students are Latin. This has made me have a difficult time relating to people based on cultural beliefs, I do not fit into the campus culture the way I had hoped. I am an easygoing person and I like to socialize, but I also want to be with people that understand me when I talk about my culture. The social life in a small city is limited and there is not much to do around on my free time. The city is an important aspect for me because it will be the place where I will live for many years and I want it to be somewhere where I have different opportunities and make invaluable connections. In addition to the cultural diversity of your university, the geographical difference makes it stand out from the rest. I am a very active and social person. I love to spend time out and the cold weather has limited my
