Personal Narrative: Surviving Yellow Water

How can you get yellow, purple, or even black feet? By standing, or swimming in freezing cold icy waters of corse. Want to hear how to survive yellow feet then read on! It all happened a few weeks ago on a Sunday. We had just finished church with the warmth of the singing with us as we headed to the car. As we were walking to the car, I could hear cars starting, people laughing, and talking joyfully because it was such a beautiful day for fall. We got into the car and headed home. During the ride I basically tuned everyone out wanting to finish my new book. But then something they were talking about sparked my interest. My parents had said we could go home and get our swimsuits, and head to the lake for the last swim of the season. We got home, quickly grabbed our swimming suits and leaped back in the car and headed out. As soon as we got to the lake I was stunned the lake looked so sparkly and surprisingly clean with only a few leaves. We headed on to the sandy beach, and I hesitantly put my toes in. Then I shrieked and leaped out back onto the safety and warmth of the sand. Then my dad asked if I wanted to have a contest to see who could go out farther into the freezing cold water. Of course I said yes cause I wanted to beat my dad. We headed out and suddenly my body felt like it had turned to ICE it was so cold, of course my dad won since I was so cold! We then just stood in the water and watched my brother play on the sand and attempt to join us.
