Tears of joy and sorrow were expressed throughout the arena as our opposing enemies were receiving the Ontario AA Ringette Championship gold medals. Our game faces and silver medals were still being worn as we were off to get revenge at the Eastern Canadian Championships. I had butterflies in my stomach moments before I was able to settle in before we took off. When I stepped out of the hot, stuffy plane into the cold windy night, I felt nervous and excited. Adrenaline was kicking in and I was ready to tie up my skates and get on the ice. At the same time I wanted to explore the city of Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, but by the time we arrived and fetched our over packed luggage, the whole exterior was too dark. Daylight came around and my eyes were drawn to the beautiful aesthetics which include, bright white and red lighthouses, brisk red sand beaches, and mountainous Atlantic landforms. …show more content…
Roaming up and down the streets of downtown, we spotted many interesting stores and restaurants that we wouldn’t typically see everyday. Our ringette coaches decided to let us go in one store that we had been hearing about before we even got to P.E.I. that was called “Cows”. This store is a homemade ice cream parlor with pastel paints and a cozy vibe. The creamy ice cream and crispy waffle cones were exactly what we were expecting and more. As the festivities kept going on, our days went by within what felt like a blink. The toughest part of the trip had eventually came, where I had to say goodbye to what I call my special
