I woke up and was at the ballpark sitting in the first row right behind home plate. I watched as each player on the team warmed up by throwing and receiving and also fielding the ball. The teams were both working on catching pop flies and then throwing the ball to their cut off guy. Each teams pitcher was done warming up by pitching to the catcher the teams went in the dugouts to get ready for the game. Finally, the first World Series baseball game has begun.
The time has come, baseball season is in full swing! Now that basketball has long since ended, it’s time for America’s greatest pastime to begin. Not to knock other sports, but come on. What’s more American than baseball, hot dogs, peanuts, and Crackerjacks? Captained by the Clark brothers Matt and Cam, the Panthers look to improve on their weak record of last Spring (two, maybe three wins?) and compete in a high powered Mayflower League.
The Los Angeles Dodgers is a baseball team in California and in this essay you are going to learn more about a team you like or don't . So the Dodgers are my favorite baseball team I have liked them since I was small and my dad and tios taught me how to play it. The Dodgers have won six championships since the team has been invented. It was always interesting for me I played it a lot.
“This ain't fun. But you watch me, I'll get it done.” This is quote was stated by Jackie Robinson. Jackie Robinson was the first African American Major League Baseball player. He also was the first African American to join the Baseball Hall of Fame.
That feeling of everyone congratulating you and talking about you was as sweet as cherry pie. But once the talk died down I went back to being the average baseball player. That year we didn’t even make it to the playoffs because our record was so bad and that would be the last time I would play for Lance. After that I didn’t continue my baseball career into high school or anything. The main reason being that there was a lot of competition and my skills were not up to par to compete.
One day I woke up and got ready for school then I remembered it was the baseball tournament. So I grabbed my bat and glove and went to school. At the end of the day,it was hufflepuff vs gryffindor it was a good game 11 to 2 that was the semi finals we played hard they did to ,did we played harder the finals were in two weeks but we had sweet victory tell the finals.
I was on my way to whistlestop park to watch my brothers play baseball. When i get there i sit down on the bleachers to see my brother david batin first then the pitcher sends a fastball as dave hits a homer. I got exitted at that, then he handed me a bat he was not allowed to use so i yanked then my friend and i start to hit baseballs together but that’s when it went wrong. Suddenly wam!,he nailed me in the head with david’s bat (as the bat swings at my head and it cracks through my tanish skin as i slam onto the ground) witch it hurt like breaking bones.
He told us we would be practicing batting, fielding, and catching pop flies in the infield and outfield. I was excited about fielding so I could practice playing catcher. Our pitcher started pitching a few as our coach was watching. Our pitcher wasn’t doing very well so he sent her to go get in line to bat while he pitched. When he started pitching the first few were either strikes or someone hit it.
This game taught me that i can 't reflect on the unchangeable and move to the future. Reflection can be an awful thing moving on making your mind just feel clean and into a new state where you can make your dreams a vision. Basking in the glory days can 't be the only thing you can do for you lose or broken memory. Moving from there was the best thing that could have done for my career in baseball and after I moved on we won our next tournament and I forgot it all.
First home run Crack! The ball flew off the bat and went as high as a bird in the sky. Aaron is a young 11 year old boy who loves playing baseball whenever he can. Every Time that he would step up to the plate he was always swing for the fence and dreamed about hitting the ball over and seeing all the fans cheer as he rounded the bases. All of times Aaron had played he never had home run but was always close sometimes hitting the wall just short of the ball going over it: but today that was about to change.
My moment was when my baseball team went to a college baseball tournament and we were all freshman. The reason we went because they thought it would be a great check to see how high school would be , but these teams turned out to be way better. I felt that the mood in the air was us doubting ourselves and that we were just going to lose the games because they are college kids and were so much better .We analyzed them and decided they were way bigger than us; all taller than 6 foot. Some were a lot bigger than the others but just looked intimidating. Our coach said ” even though they are bigger doesn't mean they are fundamentally sound as us’.
The season goes on and I 'm sitting out every game. Trying to find motivation to even show up to the games anymore because at this point the season is almost over. The team isn 't doing so good and there is nothing I can do to help. I just have to sit back and watch and it kills me inside. So you better believe me I never went another basketball camp before a baseball season started.
I never thought I’d play ball after high school. To be honest I thought I wasn’t going to play after my freshman year. My freshman year at practice my coach had the guts to tell me I would never make the varsity team as long as he the coach. I thought to myself like why would a coach ever say that. He said that because we had a cut off relay race and our team already lost so I jogged down the line instead of sprinting.
For a young baseball player one of the highest goals to achieve is hitting a homerun -for me that was all I wanted. I already achieved most of what I wanted in baseball, and one of my proudest was a no-hitter, but it was no home run. When I first realized how bad I wanted this feat was one night after a practice where all we did was just hit. The majority of my teammates hit at least one homerun that practice, but me I hit the fence but never was able to send one over. The car ride home after the practice was horrible, I was a mess.
My Experiences in Softball Crack! That was the sound echoing off my bat. Down the baseline I went running, turning first base looking to see where the ball was. Sliding into second base, I was safe. I stood up and heard the roar of the crowd.
