Life back then was worry free; I can definitely relate to Tom Brennan when he describes his juvenile self as a “happy, free, no fuss type of bloke” (P.76). As I transitioned into high-school it was much the same process, making friends, continuing sport and getting on with work. However, in saying that, high school was vastly different to my primary schooling and I was forced to face challenges that I didn’t foresee. I’m assuming this was relatively similar for you?
I left friends that I’ve known since kindergarten. So when the fourth grade started, I was completely alone. I had to get to know my surroundings, try and meet new friends, and figure out how things worked around here. Then in the seventh grade, things really went downhill. That was when everything started to change.
Rabidus Insane Asylum While I sat alone in my room, my parents were cooking our family dinner. Each year my mom and dad prepared a huge feast for the night. It wasn't Thanksgiving, it was not holiday, it was purge night. A purge is where there is 12 hours with no laws and with no limitations to what you choose to do. I took my medication with a glass of chilled milk, and went into the kitchen.
It felt like the list would never end. During the first few weeks of my freshman year in college, I felt incredibly disoriented and uncomfortable. I felt reserved, shy, and afraid of what other people thought about me, which definitely
How did you become the person who you are today? Each one of us takes personal pathways in life. Many outside forces become positive or negative forces which through cause and effect, change who we are for better or worse. Do you believe that you can achieve all that you set out to achieve? Joseph Campbell lays out his concept of the legend's excursion that each hero encounters on his own particular path.
In addition, loss of autonomy restricts a person from their normal abilities. Ego-death, the third main fear, shames a person for something they have done or something they believe in. These all cause a person’s mental state to be altered. The primal fears could affect one’s mental state by driving them to loneliness, depression, or general insanity; causing them to be outcasted by society.
I had problems when it comes to be accepted, pretty much like everyone else, in school. It was my freshman year in Highschool, and I was very uncomfortable. All I knew about being a freshman is that, literally nobody likes them. Sure there are some freshmen are just fine, though others would be considered annoying, according to people in higher grades. I eventually did make it to my new rooms, and I realized that some of the students attending in the same class with me were seniors.
As Spider walked through his house to go to bed. He thought he saw a guy he worked with named Tree. Spider lived in a tree house it has three bed rooms. The man named spider had no brothers and had a -Dew. The guy he thought he saw was a person he worked with in a blanket making factory.
Growing up with mental illness they called me crazy, annoying, and angry. They looked at me differently. They’d even talk about it amongst themselves, but never offered guidance. That’s the problem with society these days. Everyone loves a party, but no one wants to clean up the mess.
It went from high school getting everything done for you to college where you are basically all on your own. It was a big fear for me because I didn’t know what classes to take or which classes would be good for my career which is business. I remember going towards the admission office thinking to myself what am I even going to say or what do I even need to do to start the whole process of class selection. I felt my heart raising, felt empty in the inside and even scared because I really didn’t know what to say to the people in the office. Once entering the office I got nervous and asked for the steps to register for classes then that’s when they sent me to the pathway center.
“AHH!” i screamed as yet another ‘monster’ had popped up in my face. I hated this, I hated how i let my friends trick me into going in the haunted house that was at the fair. I flinched as yet another person dressed up to be something scary popped up in my face. i couldnt take this, i hate scary things.
It was almost as hard as dealing with a heartbreak. I, like every teenage girl, have had my heart broken. It makes you feel so worthless and like no one wants you. All of this was happening at the same time and it was really affecting me. To top it all off, I was so self-conscious about how other people viewed me.
But often a time come when something bad happens to us and everything falls apart and we started making mistakes, we fall into the trap of anger and dominance. We forget to hold for a while, this is the time when we need to embrace and let the mud go from us. “Music in the soul can be heard by the universe.” ― Lao Tzu What would be the most fearful thing a person can ever experience?
The one fear that made your whole body shakes uncontrollably to the point where you couldn’t take it anymore. Now imagine having to live with that fear every single day of your life. Imagine being a child whose biggest fear is whether or not he is going to starve to death.
I realized I wasn’t a good student my behavior inside the classroom was horrible but I could recognize I had a really good connection with my teachers even though I was super noisy in class and always laughing basically I was like a clown, until today I still talk to them as my second parents. Memorable moments in my life that I consider the scariest days and at the same time moments to celebrate was my last year in High School. De La Salle Panama is known for a lot of people as a really hard school to graduate and the hardest year is grade 12 (2014: my last year in High School). Remember moments when I was studying and I took me the whole night to study for my several
