1970-1990 One event from this time period that I would have liked to witness would probably have been when Sandra Day O'Connor became the first woman on the U.S. Supreme Court. This would have been something I would have enjoyed to witness because as a female myself I would have seen this as very empowering and a huge step towards change. This event lead to a movement known as the Montgomery Bus Boycott of 1955. I would have liked to have been apart of this. I feel this way because I believe strongly in fighting for what is right and in this case Rosa Parks did just that. Therefore it would have been very overwhelming and exhilarating to see a large group of people standing up for a cause they felt strongly about. This is a period in which people move into places such as California, Arizona, and New Mexico in search of gold and other mining items that can make you rich quick. Not only would I would have wanted to witness this but I would have wanted to be apart of it too. Although many did not find gold and never did get rich it would have still been worth the shot.
