Personal Narrative: The Pad

The Pad is a burger place in north Topeka. The Pad has been in the same place for the last forty or so years. It is a medium sized building with its sign out front being a rocket ready to launch. Most days The Pad is not that crowded, but always has a good amount of people there. Many families have been going to The Pad for generations. During the summer and spring months there is a car show held there a few times a month. When it is a day that there is a car show The Pad is so crowded that people are waiting for places to park and to sit in the restaurant. The in side of The Pad is a little out dated with all of the old brown booths and candy machines by the door. Most of the inside of the building and all of the outside are brown. They have the best burgers in north Topeka. There burgers a juicy not dry when you take a bite of your burger you have the juice from the burger running down your hand just signaling that it is just going to be good. There fries are really good to they are curly fries with enough salt to be okay but not overwhelm you. My family and I go to The Pad often, but we mainly just go there when there is a car show. It is American Mexican food. It is in a small building narrow I guess you would say sense it is in a strip mall with a couple other store no one pays attention to. It is a family owned restaurant and has been for many generations. They are busy all the time if you to eat from there at around lunch time then you need to have called in your order because they get to be packed. Taco Casa sits next to the Topeka hospitals so they get a lot of the family and staff member from there . Plus they are in downtown Topeka they also get the people from there coming in. They have bean burritos that are the best they are not hard like burritos you get from other places. There cheese sauce is the best I have ever
