As I slumped on the sofa after I arrived home from my first year of college, my dog soared onto the sofa beside me. She yapped, brushed her tongue across the tip of my nose, and placed her head on my arm. At this moment, I could not help but to lay my head on her and firmly wrap my arms around her. This experience would be known as “cute aggression.” According to Carrie Arnold in the article, “Cuteness Inspires Aggression,” cute aggression is a rough way of expressing love for others (Arnold, 2013).
