I woke up to the morning rooster crow, as it is a sign for me to wake up and wake the kids up. Today I had to bring Jem and Scout to First Purchase, the Negro church towards the outside of the southern part of town. The Finch children have only been to the Negro church once, so being there is still fairly new to them. Im sure they’ll behave, I've raised them to be respectful. We walked in, and LuLu disrespectfully greated us. I held on to Jem and Scout and responded to her in Negro talk. Scout and Jem looked up to me with a stern look painted on their faces.
