Personal Narrative: Tomorrow

Short Story July 15th: I just got done with training at my local rink, it sucks. Three days a week I get the wonderful opportunity to get up at 5:30, and bike to the rink a couple of miles away. Which is my favorite thing to do in the morning….I’m just kidding. When I get there I have to warm up by sprinting, and stretching for 15 minutes. Next I have to go in the weight room for an hour or so, and lift weights. Which is my favorite room, it’s so clean…not. It has the white powder that’s used for better grip scattered everywhere from the floor, to the machines. Old grip tape lying on the floor, with some still hanging on the bar above. I’m nervous, because there more than one day of tryouts, there’s three days. Tomorrow is the worst day of them all, its dynamics. Which means you do drills by yourself in front of the whole team, and judges. The last two days are just games, so that’s not as bad. It’s not as bad, because I usually get lost in games, and forget about the judges constantly watching my every move. Along with the stress of tryouts, I have a lot homework, and two tests tomorrow. I’m so excited for this year; all my friends made the same team me. All my hard work of going to my rink at 5:45 in the morning, and shooting in the cold finally paid off. Technically it’s the 13th, because I stayed up till 12. Although I’m to tired to write the whole date on a new line
October 13th: I had a great day at school, all my friends were congratulating me on making the A team, and I said the same thing back.
October 20th: it’s our fourth practice as a team, I know I haven’t been writing much; sorry I’ve been busier with practice, and school. We have our first game this Saturday, and I’m really happy with my line. I have two of my best friends as my wings, and I’m there center.
October 23rd: I just had my first game, it was amazing. It felt great to finally get back on the ice, and play a real game. We won by the way 3-1, I scored. I’m even more excited for winter to come, because then we’ll have more games. I’m hoping we might even make it to regions, then maybe even state. I’m happy I started this, so I can look back on the days where I worked hard. now I see that It all paid
