One of the most difficult questions asked is “what is your greatest accomplishment?” It’s a question that often makes me cringe. However, I have felt that I have not had an accomplishment that is worth writing about, I do feel that graduating high school and getting accepted into a decent college is an accomplishment that my family is proud of. Being the first female Latina in my family to get accepted into college was a very huge deal to my parents. But, ever since I was a little girl there was always pressure on me to be an outstanding student and focus on a successful career. My parents have always been very supportive and have always pushed me to be an independent woman. My family had helped shaped my perspective towards college. Growing up in a Hispanic household and being the youngest there had always been pressure on not messing up. Nevertheless, with the support of my parents I was able to graduate with high honors and make the dean’s list. Graduating high school was such a difficult task at hand for me because of the amount of work, clubs and sports teams I was involved in and also having a job. Going straight to college is one step forward that would help me become successful in my life. College is generally a time where people become individuals and learn more about themselves. Albeit, I had always relied on my parents, college gives the opportunity for independence, responsibility and pushing myself harder. College has made me realize more about myself that I did not know before, and it has made me set new goals for myself. It has made me ambitious and enthusiastic about my future. I hope that by the end of these four years I will have made many more accomplishments that I am much more proud of education wise, business, and personal
