Science is a subject made up of many difference components, which luckily helps it to be a subject/area of school that is enjoyed by most students at some level. Students get to decide what parts of science they like and what ones they do not allowing them to focus on those areas they enjoy most. Having the freedom to sort of choose what you like and dislike makes it feel painless to actually go to a class, because you are choosing! For example I loved earth science when I was in elementary school (partly because I choose to enjoy it, again the choice factor). Learning about the planet and animals always seemed to amaze me. When you are younger it is hard to believe that the earth has layers, (let alone that it is round) and that there are …show more content…
While chemistry tested my math skills and tested my science abilities, it was a whole new realm of science that I had yet to explore and I loved every minute of it. My biology experience was similar to my chemistry experience, however I remember it being difficult to learn some of the concepts we were taught because my teacher did not believe in experiments. She thought it caused too much chaos in a classroom, which still blows my mind to this day, how do you run a biology class without experiments/ hands on experiments? None the less, it was still a new concept to me that I was able to relate too so it was interesting and exciting which made me enjoy …show more content…
If you have a teacher who loves what they are doing, like I was fortunate to have for chemistry and most of my elementary science classes from what I can remember, then it makes the class time go by quickly and you learn to love what you are learning. My chemistry teacher was passionate about what she taught and it showed every day! We did incredible experiments and she was able to relate the material back to things that interested us. I will always remember that class for the sole purpose of her enthusiasm and teaching
