Music has been a part of my life since I can remember, for I have grown up with a father who is an accordion player. I have always loved to sing, but my first love was piano. I adored it so much that it was enough for me just to touch it. My parents noticed that spark and passion in me, and have supported me fully in making my dreams possible since my early childhood. My musical journey started when I applied for an elementary school of music at nine years of age. During six wonderful years spent there, majoring in piano, I learned the basics of music theory and aural skills, and had the first experience in choral singing. In addition, singing in choir has developed my love for harmony and power of group music making. I learned of importance of performing in large ensembles. My elementary music education has also taught me to organize my time and learn how to balance between my regular elementary school and music school in order to be successful in both. Continuing my studies at a high school strictly concentrated on music, my world and understanding of music has expanded in so many ways. There, as a theory major, I continued my studies in piano and gained a thorough knowledge in various musical subjects from music theory and solfeggio, to study of musical instruments, conducting and composition among many others. The thorough and dense curriculum helped me gain a deeper understanding and appreciation for music. Every day there was like a true blessing. I spent whole days at school, from early in the morning until late at night, engaged in different activities. Studying at a college like that gave me the opportunity to get all of the attention from the teachers and work on various exciting projects. I got to perform and learn from others in Masterclasses that were offered every week. During my stay there, the voice program went through a change from being strictly focused on traditional operatic repertoire to exploring a huge array of modern music. Delving into both of those worlds has helped me strengthen both my musical and acting abilities, and thus gain confidence in my performing skills. That was the time when I developed an immense love for acting and started trusting that I can reach much further in growing into a complete artist. Being in such a diverse program and working with two incredible and amazingly inspirational artists, my voice teacher and the director of the Vocal Theatre, I crucially improved my acting skills and gained confidence in delving into any character and seeing it as an exciting challenge, not a
