In response to a job posting dispersed by the Global Citizenship Fellows Program, I would like to present myself to be considered for the position of a Community Engagement Fellow in Los Angeles, California. Holding both my Masters of Social Work (MSW) degree and Bachelors of Social Work, I also have extensive experience working both nationally and internationally with the world’s most vulnerable populations. With my ability to strengthen community engagement through community partnerships, as well as my demonstrated commitment to serving youth and their families, I believe I exemplify all the qualities of a “Global Citizen”. It is for these reasons and more I believe I would be a strong candidate for this position. As a professional social worker one of my core values is to provide services, services that help improve the quality of life for those who are considered disenfranchised, rather it be through education, housing, or healthcare I am committed to providing for those who have been deprived some of their most basic civil rights and who have been disproportionately treated wrongfully. Relocating to a new city I integrated within the community I attend various community forums focusing on policy reform, and forging relationships within the community as I served as the lead for College and Community Partnerships. Through these relationships that I have created I was able to create and implement my agencies very first Volunteer Training in which I recruited and trained volunteers to serve our youth. I know that the relationships in which I have established will prove to be beneficial as I serve as a Global Citizenship
