When looking at the world most people think two things: How can I make this place better? What mark will I leave here? I asked myself these questions and more for years and it took what seemed like forever to figure anything out. I used this time to consider a career and that seemed to help me answer these questions. With my love of sciences and mathematics combined with my experience in construction and electrical engineering I wanted to help rebuild the world. I found environmental engineering to be more along the lines of what I want to do and therefore have chosen it as my intended major. I am the kind of person that is always seeking knowledge, a slave to my own curiosity and a scrounger for something new. I have found this to be both a benefit and a hindrance in my life but have taken the positive outlook, growth. When I was a child curiosity got me into trouble, but, it also taught me lessons. I have taken those lessons and have built a life on them, but I have never stopped trying to improve upon them. Throughout my research and struggle to find the best way to reach my goal I have looked at many degrees, universities, and corporations. As previously stated I have decided to work towards a degree in environmental engineering. I have chosen North Carolina State University to be my optimal choice of education provider. However due to expenses and the lack of wealth in my family I have decided to play my cards the best I can. I am currently working to acquire my associates of science degree and then transfer to NC State. From NC State I will acquire my bachelors in environmental engineering and will possibly attempt to get a degree in organic chemistry in order to better myself for whatever challenges my intended career can throw at me. I am looking at working for a company such as FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency), due to the federal aspect of FEMA I would can travel and assist around the world like I want. If I cannot work on the federal level though, I am completely content working in regions of the United States and helping where I am best
