Technology and design are constantly changing. When seeking employment, students need to be up to date and equipped with a vast amount of skill as well as determination and passion to stand out amongst their peers. As an instructor, it is my goal to best prepare my students to enter the workplace as professionals with the education, talent and drive they require to succeed.

I believe that to be successful, you must exhibit a passion and desire for what you do. I want to help awaken that desire and passion in my students.

In my classroom, I want my students to learn the necessary skills they will need, while also seeking, capturing and employing their own artistic and intellectual abilities. In many aspects of technology, computer programs and design programs there are many ways to do one thing. Laying down a foundation of principles and skills allow students to begin to understand the material, then expand and ask questions. I want to attempt to help my students find a balance between guided learning and self-study.

My class structure is broken down between lectures, exercises (in-class and take home), and projects. Each of these will help the students through the learning process, and allows them to discover answers on their own. Lectures and exercises will be used to prepare students …show more content…

In-class exercises will be used so that students can implement what they have learned through lectures. During in-class exercises it is encouraged that students ask questions, so that I may be able to help them understand more thoroughly. It also allows me to see progress and help where needed to prevent anyone from falling behind. Along with lectures and demonstrations, if possible, I will bring in designers, print vendors, etc. to give presentations so that the students can better understand the aspects of art and
