Alexander the Great once said, “ I am not afraid of an army of lions led by a sheep; I am afraid of an army of sheep led by a lion.” I have always considered myself the lion leading the sheep. My passion and perseverance for learning, working, and leading has prompted me to consider and pursue a career in business administration. This education goal is due to my love and excitement for organizing, budgeting, and most important, managing. Yes, I admit, my career goals are ambitious, but I believe that with hard work and patience for obtaining my goals of graduating with my business administration degree and working in a job that allows me to demonstrate my strengths and shape my weaknesses. My dedication also goes in hand with my experience. In 2013, I started working toward my education at Davidson County Community College. This time of my life was not an easy ride considering I was a new mother. Being a mother did not stop me from learning to balance school, work, and taking care of my daughter. At this time I also started working as a sales associate for Kimbrell’s Furniture. This job expanded my knowledge in collaboration, professionalism, critical thinking, and problem-solving by allowing me to learn different positions inside the company. I was able to learn anything from sale tactics to inventory and even credit manager responsibilities.
