I would like to attend college because it is an opportunity for me to expand my horizons, furthermore, to give myself and my family a better future. I think going to college would make my parents proud, additionally, it would also be a way for me to show them gratitude for all their hard work. College would teach me how to become independent, and it would also open doors to many job opportunities and make useful connections. There are many careers I have in mind at the moment, but I have always been very passionate about fashion. I would like to become a fashion designer because it has been my dream job since I was a small kid. It also includes two of my favorite things which is sketching and creating. Moreover, fashion is evolutionary, designers are constantly exploring different creative forms of expression, by gathering inspiration from everyday life from paintings to everyday items. One of my goals for the future is to create my own clothing line. I want to be a recognized fashion couture designer, that's known for being original in my clothing designs and experimenting from knitwear to embroidery, and eventually designing my own fabric, for instance by using the technique batik to create designs on the fabrics. I believe that by attending college, I will receive greater knowledge on fashion, from its beginnings to modern contemporary. Despite school being a great step forwards, I understand attending college is not a guarantee for success, but my parents are my main motivation to attend college. They did not have the opportunity to even complete high school, thus, I have been given the privilege to live in the U.S. and the opportunity for a greater education.
