Ever since I was young, I have always been very interested in the way that things work in everyday life. I would always be taking devices apart observing how they work. I have always appreciated massive structures since I was a child and wondered how they were constructed. Throughout schooling I have grown very fond of math and sciences, both major components of engineering. Because of these reasons and many more, I feel that engineering is something I will have a knack for.
I have been a very active member in the Fairfield community throughout my years in high school. I am involved in National Honor Society, Math Club, Eagle Plus, Trading Card Kids, and SkillsUSA at Fairfield High School. I have also been involved in community service projects …show more content…

To determine which path I want to pursue, I am planning to choose courses that apply to many disciplines of engineering at MSU Bozeman. Becoming an engineer will allow me to apply my skills in math and science to better the lives of others and myself. I enjoy utilizing math, science and my critical thinking skills to solve problems. MSU’s engineering program provides internships and hands on experience that will help me to be competitive in today’s job market. After I graduate college, it is important for me to immediately find work in my field, working for a company that values its employees and provides job security. As a long term goal, I would like to one day manage a team of engineers and have more responsibility in a company. Later on in life, I hope to someday return to a rural community like the one I live in now. Engineering will provide me with a stable income, which will allow me to do things I am passionate about in life, such as fly fishing, hunting, and vehicle restorations. Having the knowledge and resources will help me to share and preserve these activities for future generations. I want to be able to help those who care about the same things I do and I believe it all begins with my first day of college. Engineering will allow me the opportunity to better the lives of others. I will be able to help others lives through engineering by creating new products or building new structures. I want to make an impact on the world and that all begins with the journey of college that I am about to embark
