As a child, I grew up in different countries and cultures, and traveled extensively throughout my life. I have seen a variety of construction projects that exhibited different design of buildings and other structures, each with varying methods to build and construct. I was fascinated by everything around me and it got me interested in how, what, why things worked. My interest in the field of construction engineering fuelled throughout my life and had aspirations to be a Civil Engineer; however, I realized that I wanted to pursue a career in the industry that was much more involved in the overall scope of the construction project, a career that will never run short of a new challenge, and that led me to dream of becoming a Construction Project Manager. There is nothing more fulfilling to me than want to achieve the role to direct, manage, supervise and oversee the hard hats that do it to make sure all the work is done properly. Taking into consideration my foundation and interests, I consider the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology as my top choice to pursue my construction project management degree at because their program has structurally been designed by industry members to prepare students excel and be leading professionals in the construction field. Furthermore, SAIT holds a great reputation for being the leading research-intensive, polytechnic institution in Canada, and it is also an environment designed for students to thrive academically, athletically, and socially. I find this a plus as it helps students like me accelerate with my future career while get involved and active in school.
