As the final week of this course is nearing, I now find myself even further determined to showcase my talents are breakthrough into the advertising field as a copywriter. Through these 13 weeks I have been fed the knowledge to feel assured that this is my passion and to further sculpt my skills in my field to one day become an inspiration to others. In my first public presentation in front of the entire class, I introduced the lifestyle of a copywriter as well as my inspirations, experiences and where I hope to end up once I finish my bachelors as I continue to progress. I suppose a big part of my inspiration and the reason I got into copywriting in general was the fact that I grew up around a family of advertisers. Furthermore, when I am not developing skills for my profession I hope to collaborate with my classmates and fellows artists by doing freelance copywriting work in exchange for including them in my portfolio. This would also help me build a network of useful connections of artists from a variety of fields as my goal is to travel to Sydney to secure a job in advertising that could help better me in my trade in time. It also goes without saying that the arts and creative industry today, are a large contributor to the Australian economy as well. Therefore, this discusses the many ways to protect and develop the emerging art industry and provide more appropriate income (Arts.gov.au 2014).
