Growing up, I was raised into a loving family on a grazing property in southwest New South Wales. My parents, even though they were busy on the farm, always ensured my three siblings, along with myself, made the most of every opportunity we were given and offered. I have always been exposed to agriculture and when required I will help my dad on the farm. I am often asking questions and a main focus at the moment is why we graze the way we do, compared to other farming practises in the surrounding district. Bachelor of Science of Agriculture is a very interesting degree as it offers diverse career lines, addresses significant issues of current times, is a key factor to sustaining human development and is constantly undertaking advancements due to ever evolving technology and practises. Our world is constantly evolving; therefore it is important that humans are not just focusing towards one main objective or goal. I think it is important that we are enabling ourselves to look at the larger aspects of life, and the world around us. A main aspect of Bachelor of Science in Agriculture is that of aiming to improve the livelihood of people around the world and I think this is important and necessary for any future development required to sustaining human development. The course will enable me to address these issues and allow me to grasp a greater understanding of significant issues of our era, for example, how important sustainable use of natural resources is for food production into the future. By gaining a greater understanding I then hope to be able to help and put the theory I learn through the course to practise and start making a difference in the
