These colleges will help me acquire skills and gain experience that will have a colossal impact in my life.The career that I want to study for is engineering. Although, I am still debating what kind of engineering I want to pursue, but it is clear the direction I want to head. The schools that I am considering are UC Berkeley, UC Davis, and UC Santa Barbara. I contemplated Berkeley considering I grew up watching their sports teams and it has been the team that I watched with my brother. In addition, it was the school I just loved. Though, UC Davis’s acceptance rate is 42.3%, it's ranked #44 for the Best College in National Universities. Its campus size is 7,309 acres which is the second largest UC campus. Additionally, UC Davis students can choose from more than 100 majors. It’s known for its #1 vet school status and has the best program for viticulture and Enology. You may ask, ”What is viticulture and Enology.” Viticulture is the study of growing grape and Enology is the study of winemaking. More importantly, UC Davis graduates seek of being recruited by more than 3,000 companies Apple, Amazon, Wells Fargo, and countless more. It is 6th among universities nationwide with the majority of the students hired by top companies which will attract new upcoming students. Amazingly, for people who lived in low-income in their life, they can come to this university since it is 2nd among top colleges for doing the uttermost for low-income students. Not to mention,that they have a “Campus Nap Map” that tells you where there are hammocks to sleep if you are ever feeling tired. UC Santa Barbara’s campus size is 989 acres. It has an astonishing beach and is one of the few college campuses in the U.S. that actually owns beach property. For instance, its acceptance rate is 35.9% and is ranked #37 for Best College in National Universities. In addition, it is ranked #2 for the Top Research University in the world as well, it is ranked #8 for Top Public Schools. The school offers more than 200 majors to choose from. More importantly, UC Davis has six Nobel Prize winners working on their campus. What is more, is that UC Santa Barbara sits where they're used to be a Marine Corps Air station during WWII. Something that I know that will catch your eye is their annual Undie runs, and that it has 3 annual Undie runs where they are running almost naked through the campus with the purpose of donating clothes during midnight. They also have a tradition of having a tortilla toss at sport games. Regarding that, it was first started in basketball games, but has been banned. On the other hand, it still continues during soccer games. As a final point, it hafsamous alumni that attended their school such as Michael Douglas (actor), Jerry Trainor (actor), Harvey Levin (television producer), and Gwyneth Paltrow (actress).
