For as long as I can remember I have known what I wanted to do with my life. Science has always been a passion of mine, and medicine in particular has interested me for some time. Dedicating my life to improving the lives of others is very appealing to me. One day I want to join Doctors Without Borders which is an organization that gives aid to war-torn countries. I have worked very hard throughout my student life to get close to achieving that goal. I have taken the most rigorous courses offered in high school and college while maintaining a steady grade point average. I will be receiving my associates degree in science this coming fall. Transferring to a new school will allow me to meet new people, discover new places, and learn to broaden my views.
I believe education is the key to success, and I try to connect my passion for education with my desire of helping others. I have always taken the most rigorous and competitive courses to maintain a level of consistency and seriousness that comes with being a medical student. I have also been the kind of person who plans for the future. Every step towards my goals has been planned and sorted out. I decided that I will ensure a career as a doctor since my passion has always been assisting others and trying to improve their quality of life.
I am thankful to discover scholarship opportunities like the one that Columbia Greene JSEC establishment is giving to understudies like me who are always battling for the privilege to get an affordable education. I believe that I am a good candidate for this scholarship because I enjoy helping others in need, similar to JSEC.
