Throughout life I have experienced near-death, family and personal difficulties but I have had many self-accomplishments and life-altering experiences. I grew up in a small town consumed by nature and I had a passion for skiing, however, it came with a challenge. While skiing one day, the gondola reached fifty feet above the ground, the doors malfunctioned and I fell out. I hit a tree on the way down breaking my leg, collar bone and lacerated my liver. Rushed to the hospital for surgery my parents were told that I was lucky to be alive. I’ve learned that life is very precious and everyone is here for a reason; one of my reasons is to attend law school.

Being a strong leader nominated me to attend WE day and other social events These events were significant to the development of my independence and becoming a confident person.
As an employee I work very hard and maintained a serving job for six years. Working provided me with the skills of being highly organized and personable. I have a strong ability to problem-solve in fast paced environments and I know how to effectively communicate with varieties of personalities. Working in diverse atmospheres has been something that I look for; having the ability to work with all types of individuals will further my success in a law school.
One discovery that has influenced my decision to study law has been volunteering. I have seen what it means to be underprivileged and the disadvantages that comes with it. During my time in Ecuador, I worked with children who share the goal of going to school. Volunteering allowed me to realize that education rights are something that is very different in every country. After Ecuador, I traveled to Africa where I was able to work with children and I built desks to study on. While volunteering I acquired a strong work ethic, determination, organization and problem solving skills which I think are very important for succeeding. It also showed me that laws are very different in every country and I would like to continue learning about
