Throughout my childhood, computers have always fascinated me with their incredible ability to
2 systematically help people within everyday life. I have always been curious about how
3 technology in the world works and the structure of development behind it, such as how games
4 are programmed onto a computer, and coordinated in such a way that the person playing the game
5 can utilise the keyboard to control the game. My interest in computers started early in life
6 and I have always spent most of my spare time researching in internet and learning more about

Chemistry is highly relevant to computer hardware and even the simple
14 aspects of the course such as the use of plastics in electronic devices, will support me
15 throughout the degree.
16 Furthermore, due to my interest in tackling problems methodically, I chose Maths. I find
17 trigonometry and differentiation topics particularly interesting. My main strength is problem
18 solving, I enjoy analysing equations and using various approaches to come up with a solution.
19 I am also proficient in statistics. Moreover, Maths has been my favourite subject and I have
20 never been afraid to ask for external help from friends and teachers. Studying Maths has
21 taught me how to apply equations and formulas in computing. For instance, how studying the
22 basics of algebra and sequence and series helps with programming.
23 In year 11 I undertook work experience in BME Forum Company and there I was introduced to
24 python through a friend who was the software engineer at the company and helped me through the

31 In the summer of 2015 I worked for Curry's which has helped me learn a lot more about
32 different types of computers and other electronic devices such as tablets, phones and TV's.
33 This experience also taught me how to work effectively as a member of a team; develop my sense
34 of responsibility and organise my studies and private time more conveniently.
35 Away from school, I have a wide range of diverse interests. I partake in many football
36 tournaments and I am currently playing for the school football team. In the past I, have been
37 competitively involved in basketball and cricket. These activities instil a competitive spirit
38 within me and spur me on to be the best at whatever I do. I also enjoy jogging during early
39 mornings as I find that it helps me relax and have focused state of mind.
40 I am an enthusiastic, ambitious, highly-able instructor with a genuine enthusiasm to study
41 computer science to an advanced level. Completing my degree studies at university will provide
