Like any other potential college student, the eagerness to learn what the future can hold lies in our hands and the effort to understand the major possibilities within our academic and career goals. As I finish up my last year of high school, I have set up personal and academic goals that will take a major loop as I pursue as an undergraduate at IUPUI. I have always became certain that after I graduate, I shall pursue a higher education and great determination to achieve my career aspiration. My particular field of study is more focused upon math and science courses, but my major studies is towards the medical field. However, I had the assistance from my mother that really pushed me to a achieve to the level that I am in school. The absence of my father, physically, mentally, emotionally, and economically, took a toll amongst my family. The struggle to prepare to move on during the school year has increased as my mom worked exceeding hours to help with the basic needs at home and school. Despite my mother’s focus upon retrieving more jobs, my family became reliant upon a job that only pays enough to where if I was the only child. Yet, I am not the only child, in fact there is three of us. The fact that my mother has come a long way to put her financial needs into me and my siblings education, has truly brought inspiration to me and encourage me to further my education. She has taught me a very encouraging life lesson that the only way you would feel success is when you see a major outcome within the ones that are close to you. Until this day, the aspiration that my mom acquire to make a living for my siblings and I will follow through me, as long as I go to college. To add, I hope to contribute back to my mother, as much as she has done for me
