Excellence is not an act it is an attitude.Throughout my life I have found that I am very fond of learning everything, I take pleasure in reading, playing around with numbers and interacting with the world around me. That is why I believe that the subjects I most excel in are math, science and history. I am the kind of person who enjoys learning a new concept and taking it to the next level by understanding it, not just memorizing it and regurgitating it on test day. I take pleasure in learning this way because I am able to better myself through education.

This has allowed me to excel in science in which I try to understand why, when, and how something happens. I try to analyze all these factors and their role in the process and what happens when something changes or something is different. For example, when I took honors chemistry in 11th grade, I had to learn the electrolysis process. To do just that I had to analyze anions and cations as a whole and then separate these two concepts and see the relationship of these individual concepts in a different light. History provides a gateway into the past allowing us to better our future and make decisions on our failures and successes based on the experiences we have attained throughout our lives. From time to time, I look up to the great people throughout history and see what works for them and what doesn't. The great Martin Luther king inspired me to keep going forward until I am able to achieve my dreams with his resounding speech " I have a dream". Mark twain gave me the courage to escape the confined box I was living and see the world in a bigger perspective, the world which is flawed, not perfect and everything is possible. The great Thomas Edison blurred my line of failure and success with his famous invention of the electric lightbulb. These great people taught me that change is to improve and that for our society to reach it potential and be almost perfect we must change constantly. Understanding and applying history into my day to day decisions has allowed to excel in history. Another factor that has allowed me to excel in history is that I see the intrinsic beauty in the subject. When I look throughout history I am fascinated that all these things have actually happened and that we are left only with books and
