Growing up there is one question asked so many times you lose count before you reach double digits, that question is “What would you like to be when you grow up?”. Personally it was the experiences I gained over time that eventually lead me into education. Like many others I had dreams of becoming a lawyer, doctor, nurse and even the next big movie star but teachers were my biggest inspiration and it eventually became my goal to be just like them. I encountered some great educators over the years and most I didn’t truly appreciate until my high school years. Teachers do so much to inspire students that it became clear to me before my sophomore year of high school this was a career path I wanted. Teachers help you learn your strengths, weaknesses, and discover talents that are not always visible to others including close family and friends.
My parents stressed how important an education is to being successful in life, that along with educators had the biggest impact on my career choice. When you have a system that encourages you to gain an education you find yourself becoming that parent and in my case …show more content…

It is the fact that you helped mold and shape the lives of so many in your career. You take the great things that you learned and apply them to generation after generation as an educator. If there is one thing I could change I would love to appreciate educators and the impact they have on our lives earlier in life. To appreciate more of the lessons taught that help us all navigate this complicated thing we call life. Speaking of life, it has a way of throwing us off a path in ways we never think of.
