Having experienced time as a patient for the first half of my life, I learned to appreciate all that clinicians did for me. From a young age I gave medical professions the utmost respect, held them in the highest regard and saw them as individuals who I would strive to emulate one day. Through the excellent care and support of my own doctors and medical staff, I was able to overcome the condition of club feet. As a result I wanted to have the same opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others. This was the driving force behind my ambition to peruse Medicine.

I continue to advance my medical knowledge and deepen my insight into the integration of science and empathy in order to truly be of service. This appreciation amplified the unity of all health care professionals in our service. Most of my patients were eventually able to return home or go to other skilled nursing facilities. I was gratified when patients on my team improved enough to be able to leave clinic. Through my participation I was able to provide some health care screening, patient support, assistance, if not intervention, in their disease process. Their smiles and simple, "Thanks" would make my day. As a PA, I will have the capacity to do considerably more for these individuals with the goal that they would not wind up in ER and even the ICU with their life hanging by the string. I made use of every opportunity that could possibly improve my understanding of medical ethics in United States.
