Sport in itself is fun, healthy and rewarding. Although this is my personal view, it is more than likely shared with many more people around the world. I have always had a passion for sport, I was always a very active child and have been into competitive sport for years. My first experience in sports was joining a local martial arts club that taught Tae Kwon Do. I took part in Tae Kwon Do since i was four, I continued to progress and when I turned 11 I gained my black belt, this was my first insight into sports and fuelled my passion and enthusiasm to maintain a healthy lifestyle. During my volunteering I carried out a range of activities from football coaching to helping at my local youth group. I was given the opportunity to set up my own football drills, whilst doing this I developed my confidence and communication skills. I also carried out a variety of different activities with children ranging from age 8 to 13, the activities I delivered allowed the children to not only enhance their confidence and communication skills but also encouraged them to identify with good citizenship as well as building and maintaining a good relationship with their …show more content…

This has given me a hands on experience with teaching and coaching secondary school children. This has been very rewarding for me as it has boosted my confidence and further developed my communication skills. I have received positive feedback from not only my teacher, but feedback from the children as well, this has reassured me that i am pursuing the correct career path and one that I know I will thrive in. As a charity close to my heart, I volunteered to become an ambassador for St Andrews hospice charity, this provides care and respite as well as care for terminally ill patients. As an ambassador I raise money for this charity by arranging events, taking part in hospice events such as 6k runs, and learning skills such as first aid training. This has allowed me to expand my learning and embrace a multitude of new
