Food microbiologist There are 39 trillion bacterias to our 30 trillion human cell. There are a few bacterias that are good for us and we actually add them to our food, other bacteria are very harmful to our body.
Bacteria is on very used things or barely touched things, you are bound to touch or in take bacteria at one point, it is inevitable. I think being a food microbiologist is harder than expected but in demand because the schooling, salary, required skills, work duties, and work benefits or drawbacks. The higher your degree is, the more opportunity you have to make a decent amount of money. The average schooling needed is 4 years, a bachelor of science in microbiology or biology. The annual pay for this job ranges from 72, 000 to 76,000 dollars a year. If you get a PhD you can have the freedom to do independent research and experiments. The downfall to having a PhD is that you have to pay for the research and experiments out of your own pocket, even if they are not successful. Food microbiologist deals with a lot of science and math. So a required skill would be you need to be very interested in science and mathematics. You need to be able to pay close attention to things, keen interest in the natural and food world. You need to be dedicated, and always be able to test new solutions to your problem. A food microbiologist researches microorganisms that are found in food and the biologist tries to prevent food-borne diseases. A microbiologist focus on how microbes affect food, they try to watch all steps of the food processing cycle to implement better ideas to help prevent negative effects of
